Residents to Enjoy Celebrations Amid Modified City Services on July 24 |
Logan City officials have announced adjustments to city services and a lineup of festivities in honor of Pioneer Day on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Residential garbage, recycling, and green waste collection will proceed as usual on July 24. The city landfill will also remain open to the public that day.
The Logan River Golf Course and the Logan Aquatic Center will operate during their regular hours, offering residents recreational options during the holiday.
However, the Logan Library will close early at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, and will remain closed on Pioneer Day. Additionally, all City Offices, the Logan Community Recreation Center, the City Cemetery Offices, and the Ticket Office at the Carol and Jim Laub Plaza will be closed on Thursday, July 24.

In celebration of Pioneer Day, Logan City has organized a series of events at Willow/Horseshoe Park, located at 450 West, 700 South. The day's activities include:
7:30 a.m.: 1-mile and 3-mile Fun Runs (registration at 7 a.m.)
8 a.m.: Open grass volleyball tournament (registration at 7:30 a.m.)
9 a.m.: 3-on-3 basketball and soccer tournaments, horseshoe pitching, cornhole, and spike ball competitions (registration at 8:30 a.m.)
9 a.m.: Family Fun Cardio Jam
10 a.m.: Pioneer Day Parade starting at Center Street and 100 West, proceeding west to 500 West, then south to Willow Park
11 a.m.: Food and craft booths open
11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Pioneer Crafts & Games
12 p.m.: Candy Cannon for children 12 and under
3:30 to 5 p.m.: Bingo Bonanza at the Willow Park Stage
5:30 p.m.: Performance by the Bear River Ramblers
7 p.m.: Performance by Mile Marker 6
8:30 p.m.: Performance by Michelle Lambert
10 p.m.: Fireworks display
