Exciting News for Caine Lyric Theatre Renovation!

Great things are coming to the historic Caine Lyric Theatre in downtown Logan!

Thanks to the generosity of Utah State University and several key donors, the $5.2 million renovation project is moving forward, bringing much-needed upgrades to this beloved venue.

The Caine Lyric Theatre, a cornerstone of the Cache Valley arts scene, will undergo a major transformation starting in early summer of 2025, with construction expected to conclude by spring 2026.

The renovation will include a complete rebuild of the stage house, originally constructed in 1913, ensuring the venue continues to offer incredible live theater for both students and the community.

This much-anticipated renovation will also restore the overhead fly system, which has been out of use for 16 years.

What Does This Mean for the 2025 Season?

While the renovation is underway, the Lyric Repertory Company’s 2025 productions will take place on the USU campus in the Morgan Theatre, Black Box Theatre, and Russell/Wanless Performance Hall.

This shift will give theatergoers a chance to experience these wonderful spaces in preparation for the new chapter of the Caine Lyric Theatre.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming in the 2025 summer season:

• Bright Star – June 13 to July 26 at the Morgan Theatre
  
  
• Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure – June 20 to July 25 at the Morgan Theatre
  
  
• Home, I’m Darling – June 27 to July 26 at the Black Box Theatre
  
  
• The Importance of Being Earnest – July 4 to 24 at the Morgan Theatre
  
  

Additionally, a special event, the Vosco Call Spotlight honoring Wendi Hassan, will be held on July 7 in the Russell/Wanless Performance Hall, with the Page to Stage information program running from June 2 to 6.

Improved Accessibility & Sound

The Lyric Repertory Company is also working hard to improve the theater experience for all patrons.

The Morgan Theatre will see improvements to sound quality, and assisted listening devices will be available for those who need them.
