Light the World Giving Machines Bring Holiday Spirit to Logan's Center Street

This holiday season, Cache Valley residents have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact through the Light the World Giving Machines, arriving in Logan on December 16, 2024.

These innovative vending machines allow individuals to purchase items such as meals, clothing, and livestock for those in need, both locally and globally.

Event Details:

  • Kickoff Event: December 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM
  • Location: In front of Great Harvest Bakery, 55 W. Center Street, Logan
  • Machine Availability: December 16, 2024 – January 1, 2025

The Giving Machines are part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' annual Light the World initiative, which encourages acts of service during the Christmas season.

Since their inception in 2017, these machines have facilitated over $32 million in donations, benefiting more than 500 local and international nonprofit organizations.

This year, the machines are expanding to 106 cities across 13 countries, including their first appearance in Logan.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints covers all operational costs, ensuring that 100% of every donation goes directly to the selected charities.

Local organizations benefiting from the Logan Giving Machines include:

  • Cache Community Food Pantry: Provides food assistance to individuals and families in need within Cache Valley.

  • The Family Place Utah: Offers services to strengthen families and protect children in the community.

By participating in this initiative, residents can contribute to causes that resonate with them, making the holiday season brighter for many.

Let's come together as a community to light the world with love and generosity this Christmas season.
