Cache Valley Locals
Sep 30, 2025
If your inbox is more crowded than the school pickup line at 3:17 PM, feel free to unsubscribe—we’ll just assume you’ve run out of Diet Coke and we'll send help! |
Well, Cache Valley, it’s officially that magical time of year where you can’t decide if you need a pumpkin spice latte or a snow shovel. |

When Logan Gets Spooky on the Big Screen: The 2025 Halloween Film Fest |
Think Psycho’s shower scene, Night of the Living Dead re-runs, and maybe a little Nosferatu if the projector’s feeling extra.
The Traditional Halloween Scary Film Fest is returning to Utah Theatre downtown Logan—and by “returning,” we mean creeping its way back with a bone-chilling lineup that'll have you double-checking your popcorn.
See the full fright night program here
Grab your garlic, your best scream buddy, and maybe a blanket (for hiding) — this one’s not for the faint of heart. |
A New Chapter for Logan Schools |
After years of dedicated service, Larry Williams has stepped down as president of the Logan School Board.
During his time, he worked tirelessly to support students, teachers, and families—helping shape programs and policies that strengthened our schools and community.
While change can feel a little uncertain, it’s also a moment to reflect with gratitude on the good he’s done the kids who are our future Aggies, athletes, artists, and leaders.
We can look forward with hope as the search begins for the next leader to carry that work forward.

Fine Dining for Furry Friends at USU |
Forget The Bluebird Café—turns out the hottest new restaurant scene in town is built out of toothpicks and acorn crumbs.
Yep, Utah State has tiny squirrel picnic tables popping up around campus, and let’s just say these little furballs are living their best “lunch date” life.
If you thought Aggies loved Aggie Ice Cream, wait ‘til you see how much a squirrel loves a handful of sunflower seeds served on miniature patio furniture.

Sheet Pan Pizza So Good, You’ll Forget It’s Not Friday in the Cafeteria |
Remember those glorious square slices of cafeteria pizza from your childhood?
(You know, the ones that tasted like cardboard but somehow also like pure joy?)
Well, this Lunch Lady Sheet Pan Pizza recipe is here to bring all that nostalgia back—minus the hairnet.
It’s gooey, cheesy, and big enough to feed the whole block… or just you, no judgment.

Life Comes At You Fast |
Your Lawn Called—It Wants a Fall Makeover |
You know that moment in September when you trade your flip-flops for fuzzy socks and your Diet Coke for hot cocoa?
Let's not be ridiculous...Diet Coke AND hot cocoa!
Well, your yard is basically going through the same identity crisis right now.
Summer’s done, the sprinklers are (hopefully) turned off, and your lawn is wondering if you’re going to help it prep for sweater weather—or just let it fend for itself like a freshman at Aggie Village.
The experts say fall is the time to give your yard some TLC: aerate that grass so it can breathe (it’s basically yoga for your lawn), toss down some fertilizer like you’re seasoning Sunday roast, and don’t forget to tuck your perennials in for their long winter nap.
Oh, and if your trees are dropping more leaves than your kids are dropping hints about Halloween costumes—yes, you should rake them. (We know… boo.)
Basically, think of it like fall cleaning, but outside.
A little effort now means you won’t be the neighbor with the scraggly yard come spring. And hey—your tulips will thank you later.

Cake It Easy, Logan—We’ve Got Gluten-Free Goodies! |
Logan just got a little sweeter (and a lot friendlier to your tummy).
Cake It Easy, a brand-new gluten-free bakery, has opened its doors—and let’s just say, their cupcakes don’t care if you’ve sworn off wheat.
Finally, a place where you can snag a cinnamon roll without the gluten guilt.
Warning: reading on an empty stomach may result in sprinting downtown for cookies. |
