I'll Take One of Everything

Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos

These Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos from The Pioneer Woman are the answer to “What’s for dinner?” when you’ve got 99 problems and seasoning ain’t one.

Just toss it in the slow cooker like the domestic goddess you are, forget about it for hours (bless), and then bam—tender, juicy taco magic that tastes like you actually tried.

No chopping. No standing over a stove. Just you, your crockpot, and the smug satisfaction of being tonight’s dinner hero.

🔗 Get the recipe here and prepare to be worshipped by your family. (Or at least mildly appreciated. We'll take it.)

The Kiddie Pool Ice Bar

Hosting a BBQ or backyard get-together?

Forget the tiny cooler that everyone awkwardly hovers around.

Instead, grab a kiddie pool, fill it with ice, and toss in drinks, watermelon slices, popsicles, even pre-chilled fruit trays.

It’s the ultimate summer buffet-meets-ice-bath—and bonus, it doubles as entertainment once the food’s gone. (Because nothing says summer like an uncle sitting in the drink pool holding a Capri Sun.)

💡 Pro tip: Put a clean plastic tablecloth or picnic blanket under the pool if it's on the grass, so it doesn’t become a muddy moat.

Locals Who Mean Business

North Logan’s New Bakery Is Bussin’—And That’s Not Just the Yeast Talkin’

Listen, we don’t throw around Gen Z slang lightly… but when The Sourdough Collective opened its doors in North Logan, even the grandmas said, “Okayyy this is bussin’.” (Translation: it’s really, really good.)

This fresh new bakery, tucked into the Roma's building, is the passion project of Madi Haws and her husband Tyson—two Cache Valley locals who went from pandemic bread experiments to full-on sourdough stardom.

And let’s be honest, we all thought we were bread experts back in 2020. But Madi? She actually stuck with it—and her loaves are basically what carb dreams are made of.

Their menu is a rotating wonderland of crusty perfection: roasted garlic sourdough, lemon poppyseed loaves that sell out faster than Taylor Swift tickets, and yes, even cinnamon rolls the size of your face. (Don’t worry. We checked.)

But what makes this place extra special? It’s more than the bread—it’s the vibe.

Their open-style kitchen lets you see the magic happen—and let’s just say, watching dough get hand-shaped has never felt so satisfying.

Madi says they want to create a bakery that feels like community, and so far, they’re absolutely nailing it. People aren’t just coming for the carbs—they’re coming for connection (okay fine, and the carbs).

So next time your stomach’s rumbling, skip the drive-thru. Head to The Sourdough Collective and treat yourself to a loaf—or five. Your toaster will thank you. Your jeans? Maybe not.

📍 Located at 2005 N Main St in North Logan, open Wed–Sat (but check their Insta for updates because this place sells out fast—like, "blink and it’s gone" fast).

🥐 Pro tip: Grab a loaf, a cinnamon roll, and one of their new sourdough soft pretzels. And then go hide in your car so you don’t have to share.
